Replace SET_LATE_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS() with its modern
LATE_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS() alternative.
The combined usage of pm_sleep_ptr() and LATE_SYSTEM_SLEEP_PM_OPS() allows
the compiler to evaluate if the runtime suspend/resume() functions
are used at build time or are simply dead code.
This allows removing the __maybe_unused notation from the runtime
suspend/resume() functions.

The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

No instance of "struct imx_pinctrl_soc_info" sets '.generic_pinconf =
true', so all of this is effectively dead code.
To make it easier to understand the actual code, remove all the unused
cruft. This effectively reverts a5cadbbb081c ("pinctrl: imx: add
generic pin config core support").
It was only in use by a single SOC (imx7ulp) for a few releases, and
the commit message of dbffda08f0e9 ("pinctrl: fsl: imx7ulp: change to
use imx legacy binding") suggests that it won't be used in the
future. Certainly no new user has appeared in 20+ releases, and should
the need arise, this can be dug out of git history again.

in order to support the scenario of PINCTRL_IMX is built in while
PINCTRL_IMX_SCU is built as module, all drivers using SCU pinctrl

Pull pin control updates from Linus Walleij:
"This is the bulk of the pin control changes for the v5.9 kernel
series:
Core changes:
- The GPIO patch "gpiolib: Introduce for_each_requested_gpio_in_range()
macro" was put in an immutable branch and merged into the pinctrl
tree as well. We see these changes also here.
- Improved debug output for pins used as GPIO.
New drivers:
- Ocelot Sparx5 SoC driver.
- Intel Emmitsburg SoC subdriver.
- Intel Tiger Lake-H SoC subdriver.
- Qualcomm PM660 SoC subdriver.
- Renesas SH-PFC R8A774E1 subdriver.
Driver improvements:
- Linear improvement and cleanups of the Intel drivers for
Cherryview, Lynxpoint, Baytrail etc. Improved locking among other
things.
- Renesas SH-PFC has added support for RPC pins, groups, and
functions to r8a77970 and r8a77980.
- The newere Freescale (now NXP) i.MX8 pin controllers have been
modularized. This is driven by the Google Android GKI initiative I
think.
- Open drain support for pins on the Qualcomm IPQ4019.
- The Ingenic driver can handle both edges IRQ detection.
- A big slew of documentation fixes all over the place.
- A few irqchip template conversions by yours truly.

leak in case of error in 'imx_pinctrl_probe()'"
This reverts commit ba403242615c2c99e27af7984b1650771a2cc2c9.
After commit 26d8cde5260b ("pinctrl: freescale: imx: add shared

iomuxc and iomuxc-lpsr which share select_input register for
daisy chain settings.
If use 'devm_of_iomap()', when probe the iomuxc-lpsr, will call
devm_request_mem_region() for the region <0x30330000-0x3033ffff>
for the first time. Then, next time when probe the iomuxc, API
devm_platform_ioremap_resource() will also use the API
devm_request_mem_region() for the share region <0x30330000-0x3033ffff>
again, then cause issue, log like below:

After patch b96eea718bf6 ("pinctrl: fsl: add scu based pinctrl support"),
NO_PAD_CTL pads map are not skipped anymore which results in
a possible memory corruption. As we actually only need to create config
maps for SCU pads and MMIO pads which are not using the default config
(a.k.a IMX_NO_PAD_CTL), so let's add a proper check before creating
the config maps. And during MMIO pads parsing, we also need update the
list_p point as SCU case to ensure the pin data next parsed is correct.

Some i.MX SoCs (e.g. MX8QXP and MX8QM) contain a system controller
that is responsible for controlling the pad setting of the IPs that
are present. Communication between the host processor running an OS
and the system controller happens through a SCU protocol.
This patch classifies the pad settings into two categories: MMIO and SCU.
For the original MMIO method, no functional changes except organize them
into a few imx_*_mmio() functions. Besides that, we add the SCU based
Pad Mux and Pinconf setting support which are implemented in pinctrl-scu.c.

The devm_kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, devm_kcalloc().
This patch replaces cases of:
devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)
with:
devm_kcalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)
as well as handling cases of:
devm_kzalloc(handle, a * b * c, gfp)
with:
devm_kzalloc(handle, array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)
as it's slightly less ugly than:
devm_kcalloc(handle, array_size(a, b), c, gfp)
This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
devm_kzalloc(handle, 4 * 1024, gfp)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.
Some manual whitespace fixes were needed in this patch, as Coccinelle
really liked to write "=devm_kcalloc..." instead of "= devm_kcalloc...".
The Coccinelle script used for this was:

The devm_kmalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form,
devm_kmalloc_array(). This patch replaces cases of:
devm_kmalloc(handle, a * b, gfp)
with:
devm_kmalloc_array(handle, a * b, gfp)
as well as handling cases of:
devm_kmalloc(handle, a * b * c, gfp)
with:
devm_kmalloc(handle, array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)
as it's slightly less ugly than:
devm_kmalloc_array(handle, array_size(a, b), c, gfp)
This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
devm_kmalloc(handle, 4 * 1024, gfp)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.
Some manual whitespace fixes were needed in this patch, as Coccinelle
really liked to write "=devm_kmalloc..." instead of "= devm_kmalloc...".
The Coccinelle script used for this was:
// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

The kmalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kmalloc_array(). This
patch replaces cases of:
kmalloc(a * b, gfp)
with:
kmalloc_array(a * b, gfp)
as well as handling cases of:
kmalloc(a * b * c, gfp)
with:
kmalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)
as it's slightly less ugly than:

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
kmalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.
The tools/ directory was manually excluded, since it has its own
implementation of kmalloc().
The Coccinelle script used for this was:
// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

gpio_request_enable/disable_free actually are not quite necessary as
standard IMX pinctrl binding already sets GPIO mux from device tree,
e.g. VF610_PAD_PTB20__GPIO_42 or MX7D_PAD_SD2_CD_B__GPIO5_IO9
No need to do it again in gpio_request_enable.
And according to Stefan:
"For all GPIO I checked in upstream device trees we assign a pinctrl
to the same node, so in all cases gpio_request_enable/disable is really
unnecessary."
So it should be safe to simply remove it.
Note that this changes semantics for Vybrid, e.g.
"The two functions have been introduced for Vybrid (through
SHARE_MUX_CONF_REG) and mux pins as GPIOs automatically when a GPIO
gets requested. The automatic mux is optional by the pinmux/gpio
subsystem semantics, and other NXP devices do not use it, instead an
explicit pinctrl node is added in the device tree to mux GPIOs where
required. Hence this change aligns Vybrid to other NXP (i.MX) devices.
Note that all upstream device tree assign proper pinctrl properties
where GPIOs are used so no change is necessary for device trees."

MX7ULP MUX mode mask and shift bit is different from VF610.
Let's make it a platform specific property for the later easy of
adding MX7ULP support.
One trick in exist code that Vybrid hardcoded the config part
as 0xffff because its mux_config register BIT[15-0] are all configs
part. But it's not true in ULP, so use mux_mask instead to address
the difference.

The design is based on the exist architecture that the core will
provide a uniformed way to decode the generic pin config into platform
config register raw data according to the imx_cfg_params_decode maps
registered by platform.
Two useful macros, IMX_CFG_PARAMS_DECODE and IMX_CFG_PARAMS_DECODE_INVERT,
are created for platform to register decode map conveniently.
In order to cope with some special case, a platform specific fixup()
function is also available to use.
Note that rather than fully utilizing the generic pinconf support
provided by pinctrl core, IMX only adopts the device tree bindings
of generic pinconf. The config used in .pin_config_get[set] are raw
register data instead of generic one which makes us align the exist
using. And that's also why we cannot set pinconf_ops.is_generic.

Recent pinctrl changes to allow dynamic allocation of pins exposed one
more issue with the pinctrl pins claimed early by the controller itself.
This caused a regression for IMX6 pinctrl hogs.
Before enabling the pin controller driver we need to wait until it has
been properly initialized, then claim the hogs, and only then enable it.
To fix the regression, split the code into pinctrl_claim_hogs() and
pinctrl_enable(). And then let's require that pinctrl_enable() is always
called by the pin controller driver when ready after calling
pinctrl_register_and_init().

Commit df61b366af26 ("pinctrl: core: Use delayed work for hogs") caused a
regression at least with sh-pfc that is also a GPIO controller as
noted by Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org>.
As the original pinctrl_register() has issues calling pin controller
driver functions early before the controller has finished registering,
we can't just revert commit df61b366af26. That would break the drivers
using GENERIC_PINCTRL_GROUPS or GENERIC_PINMUX_FUNCTIONS.
So let's fix the issue with the following steps as a single patch:
1. Revert the late_init parts of commit df61b366af26.
The late_init clearly won't work and we have to just give up
on fixing pinctrl_register() for GENERIC_PINCTRL_GROUPS and
GENERIC_PINMUX_FUNCTIONS.
2. Split pinctrl_register() into two parts
By splitting pinctrl_register() into pinctrl_init_controller()
and pinctrl_create_and_start() we have better control over when
it's safe to call pinctrl_create().
3. Introduce a new pinctrl_register_and_init() function
As suggested by Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>, we
can just introduce a new function for the controllers that need
pinctrl_create() called later.
4. Convert the four known problem cases to use new function
Let's convert pinctrl-imx, pinctrl-single, sh-pfc and ti-iodelay
to use the new function to fix the issues. The rest of the drivers
can be converted later. Let's also update Documentation/pinctrl.txt
accordingly because of the known issues with pinctrl_register().

This change is inspired from the pinctrl-single architecture.
The problem with current implementation is that it isn't possible
to add/remove functions and/or groups dynamically. The radix tree
offers an easy way to do so. The intent is to offer a follow-up
patch later that will enable the use of pinctrl nodes in dt-overlays.
