2019-08-26media: saa7134: fix terminology around saa7134_i2c_eeprom_md7134_gate()Maciej S. Szmigiero1-4/+8
saa7134_i2c_eeprom_md7134_gate() function and the associated comment uses an inverted i2c gate open / closed terminology. Let's fix this. Signed-off-by: Maciej S. 2017-01-27[media] media: Drop FSF's postal address from the source code filesSakari Ailus1-4/+0
Drop the FSF's postal address from the source code files that typically contain mostly the license text. Of the 628 removed instances, 578 are outdated. The patch has been created with the following command without manual edits: git grep -l "675 Mass Ave\|59 Temple Place\|51 Franklin St" -- \ drivers/media/ include/media|while read i; do i=$i perl -e ' open(F,"< $ENV{i}"); $a=join("", <F>); $a =~ s/[ \t]*\*\n.*You should.*\n.*along with.*\n.*(\n.*USA.*$)?\n//m && $a =~ s/(^.*)Or, (point your browser to) /$1To obtain the license, $2\n$1/m; close(F); open(F, "> $ENV{i}"); print F $a; close(F);'; done Signed-off-by: Sakari Ailus <sakari.ailus@linux.intel.com>
2016-11-18[media] saa7134: fix warm Medion 7134 EEPROM readMaciej S. Szmigiero1-0/+31
When saa7134 module driving a Medion 7134 card is reloaded reads of this card EEPROM (required for automatic detection of tuner model) will be corrupted due to I2C gate in DVB-T demod being left closed. This sometimes also happens on first saa7134 module load after a warm reboot. Fix this by opening this I2C gate before doing EEPROM read during i2c initialization. Signed-off-by: Maciej S. 2016-09-19[media] constify i2c_algorithm structuresJulia Lawall1-1/+1
These i2c_algorithm structures are only stored in the alg field of an i2c_adapter structure, which is declared as const. This declare the structures as const as well. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r disable optional_qualifier@ identifier i; position p; @@ static struct i2c_algorithm i@p = { ... }; @ok@ identifier r.i; struct i2c_adapter e; position p; @@ e.alg = &i@p; @bad@ position p != {r.p,ok.p}; identifier r.i; @@ i@p @depends on !bad disable optional_qualifier@ identifier r.i; @@ static +const struct i2c_algorithm i = { ... }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
2015-05-13[media] saa7134: fix CodingStyle issues on the lines touched by pr_foo refactorMauro Carvalho Chehab1-2/+3
Several lines touched by the pr_foo refactoring patches are not following the Linux Coding style. While we won't be fixing the style globally at the driver, we should, at least, fix on the lines we touched. Basically, this patch add (or remove) whitespaces and blank lines where needed. No functional changes. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
2015-05-13[media] saa7134: avoid complex macro warningsMauro Carvalho Chehab1-5/+9
The debug macros are not properly defined, as they generate warnings like: ERROR: Macros with complex values should be enclosed in parentheses +#define core_dbg(fmt, arg...) if (core_debug) \ + printk(KERN_DEBUG pr_fmt("core: " fmt), ## arg) Use do { } while (0) for those macros. 2015-05-13[media] saa7134-i2c: make debug macros to use pr_fmt()Mauro Carvalho Chehab1-27/+27
Converting debug prints to use pr_foo() is not trivial, as the result will be a way worse than what's provided here, due to the pieces of the code that prints the I2C transfers. Those use a lot pr_cont(), and, depending on using either level 1 or 2, a different set of macros are selected. So, let's replace d1printk() and d2printk() macros by i2c_dbg() and i2c_count() adding a debug level there. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
2015-05-13[media] saa7134: instead of using printk KERN_foo, use pr_fooMauro Carvalho Chehab1-3/+3
Replaces all occurrences of printk with KERN_INFO, KERN_WARNING and KERN_ERR to pr_info/pr_warning, pr_err, using this small shell script: for i in drivers/media/pci/saa7134/*.[ch]; do sed s,'printk(KERN_INFO ','pr_info(',g <$i >a && mv a $i; done for i in drivers/media/pci/saa7134/*.[ch]; do sed s,'printk(KERN_ERR ','pr_err(',g <$i >a && mv a $i; done for i in drivers/media/pci/saa7134/*.[ch]; do sed s,'printk(KERN_WARNING ','pr_warn(',g <$i >a && mv a $i; done Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
