2015-02-04vhost: vhost_scsi_handle_vq() should just use copy_from_user()Al Viro1-36/+0
it has just verified that it asks no more than the length of the first segment of iovec. And with that the last user of stuff in lib/iovec.c is gone. RIP. Cc: Michael S. 2014-08-02iovec: make sure the caller actually wants anything in memcpy_fromiovecendSasha Levin1-0/+4
Check for cases when the caller requests 0 bytes instead of running off and dereferencing potentially invalid iovecs. Signed-off-by: Sasha Levin <sasha.levin@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-06-27iovec: move memcpy_from/toiovecend to lib/iovec.cMichael S. Tsirkin1-0/+55
ERROR: "memcpy_fromiovecend" [drivers/vhost/vhost_scsi.ko] undefined! commit 9f977ef7b671f6169eca78bf40f230fe84b7c7e5 vhost-scsi: Include prot_bytes into expected data transfer length in target-pending makes drivers/vhost/scsi.c call memcpy_fromiovecend(). This function is not available when CONFIG_NET is not enabled. socket.h already includes uio.h, so no callers need updating. 2013-05-20Hoist memcpy_fromiovec/memcpy_toiovec into lib/Rusty Russell1-0/+53
ERROR: "memcpy_fromiovec" [drivers/vhost/vhost_scsi.ko] undefined! That function is only present with CONFIG_NET. Turns out that crypto/algif_skcipher.c also uses that outside net, but it actually needs sockets anyway. In addition, commit 6d4f0139d642c45411a47879325891ce2a7c164a added CONFIG_NET dependency to CONFIG_VMCI for memcpy_toiovec, so hoist that function and revert that commit too. socket.h already includes uio.h, so no callers need updating; trying only broke things fo x86_64 randconfig (thanks Fengguang!).
