Bumps python required version to 2.7
This change is in preparation for the next patch that replaces getopt
with argparse. Argparse is only available in python 2.7+ and 3.2+.
One concern with this change is the availability of Python 2.7 on
non-Linux platforms, however:
- OSX 10.8 ships with python 2.7.2
- OSX 10.7.4 ships with python 2.7.1
- 2.7.3 is available for windows
