2023-12-04iio: add modifiers for A and B ultraviolet lightJavier Carrasco1-0/+2
Currently there are only two modifiers for ultraviolet light: a generic one for any ultraviolet light (IIO_MOD_LIGHT_UV) and one for deep ultraviolet (IIO_MOD_LIGHT_DUV), which is also referred as ultraviolet C (UV-C) band and covers short-wave ultraviolet. There are still no modifiers for the long-wave and medium-wave ultraviolet bands. These two bands are the main components used to obtain the UV index on the Earth's surface. Add modifiers for the ultraviolet A (UV-A) and ultraviolet B (UV-B) bands. 2023-09-24Merge branch 'ib-iio-hid-sensors-v6.6-rc1' into togregJonathan Cameron1-0/+4
The deta angle and deta velocity channels were added in parallel with color temperature and chromacity so this merge had to assign a consistent order. I put the color related ones second. Signed-off-by: Jonathan Cameron <Jonathan.Cameron@huawei.com>
2023-09-24iio: Add channel type for chromaticityBasavaraj Natikar1-0/+2
In most cases, ambient color sensors also support the x and y light colors, which represent the coordinates on the CIE 1931 chromaticity diagram. Thus, add channel type for chromaticity. 2023-09-12iio: Add IIO_DELTA_VELOCITY channel typeRamona Bolboaca1-0/+2
The delta velocity is defined as a piece-wise integration of acceleration data. The delta velocity represents the linear velocity change between two consecutive measurements and it is measured in m / s (meters per second). In order to track the total linear velocity change during a desired period of time, simply sum-up the delta velocity samples acquired during that time. IIO currently does not offer a suitable channel type for this type of measurements hence this patch adds it. 2022-09-05iio: Add new event type gesture and use direction for single and double tapJagath Jog J1-1/+7
Add new event type for tap called gesture and the direction can be used to differentiate single and double tap. This may be used by accelerometer sensors to express single and double tap events. For directional tap, modifiers like IIO_MOD_(X/Y/Z) can be used along with singletap and doubletap direction. 2022-02-21iio: introduce mag_referencedCosmin Tanislav1-0/+1
Some accelerometers that support activity and inactivity events also support a referenced mode, in which the gravitational acceleration is taken as a point of reference before comparing the acceleration to the specified activity and inactivity magnitude. For example, in the case of the ADXL367, for activity detection, the formula is: abs(acceleration - reference) > magnitude Add a new event type that makes this behavior clear. 2021-12-16iio: event_monitor: Flush output on eventZach DeCook1-0/+1
By flushing the output, iio_event_monitor can be more useful to programs chained along with it. iio_event_monitor stk3310 | awk '/rising/{system("my_unlockscreen.sh")} /falling/{system("my_lockscreen.sh")}' Without this flush, the above example would buffer a number of events, then after a while run the lock/unlock scripts several times. 2021-03-25iio: event_monitor: Enable events before monitoringLinus Walleij1-5/+64
After some painful sessions with a driver that register an enable/disable sysfs knob (gp2ap002) and manually going in and enabling the event before monitoring it: cd /sys/bus/iio/devices/iio\:device2/events # ls in_proximity_thresh_either_en # echo 1 > in_proximity_thresh_either_en I realized that it's better if the iio_event_monitor is smart enough to enable all events by itself and disable them after use, if passed the -a flag familiar from the iio_generic_buffer tool. Auto-enabling events depend on the hardware being able to handle all events at the same time which isn't necessarily the case, so a command line option is required for this. 2018-12-16iio: add IIO_MASSCONCENTRATION channel typeTomasz Duszynski1-0/+10
Measuring particulate matter in ug / m3 (micro-grams per cubic meter) is de facto standard. Existing air quality sensors usually follow this convention and are capable of returning measurements using this unit. IIO currently does not offer suitable channel type for this type of measurements hence this patch adds this. In addition, extra modifiers are introduced used for distinguishing between fine pm1, pm2p5 and coarse pm4, pm10 particle measurements, i.e IIO_MOD_PM1, IIO_MOD_PM25 and IIO_MOD_PM4, IIO_MOD_PM10. pmX consists of particles with aerodynamic diameter less or equal to X micrometers. 2018-06-10iio: Add channel for Position RelativeEugen Hristev1-0/+2
Add new channel type for relative position on a pad. These type of analog sensor offers the position of a pen on a touchpad, and is represented as a voltage, which can be converted to a position on X and Y axis on the pad. The channel will hand the relative position on the pad in both directions. The channel can then be consumed by a touchscreen driver or read as-is for a raw indication of the touchpen on a touchpad.
