2024-04-08scsi: FlashPoint: Remove redundant assignment to pointer currTar_InfoColin Ian King1-1/+0
Pointer currTar_Info is being assigned a value that is never read, it is being re-assigned a few lines later in the start of a following do-while loop. The assignment is redundant and can be removed. 2021-06-02scsi: FlashPoint: Rename si_flags fieldRandy Dunlap1-16/+16
The BusLogic driver has build errors on ia64 due to a name collision (in the #included FlashPoint.c file). Rename the struct field in struct sccb_mgr_info from si_flags to si_mflags (manager flags) to mend the build. This is the first problem. There are 50+ others after this one: In file included from ../include/uapi/linux/signal.h:6, from ../include/linux/signal_types.h:10, from ../include/linux/sched.h:29, from ../include/linux/hardirq.h:9, from ../include/linux/interrupt.h:11, from ../drivers/scsi/BusLogic.c:27: ../arch/ia64/include/uapi/asm/siginfo.h:15:27: error: expected ':', ',', ';', '}' or '__attribute__' before '.' token 15 | #define si_flags _sifields._sigfault._flags | ^ ../drivers/scsi/FlashPoint.c:43:6: note: in expansion of macro 'si_flags' 43 | u16 si_flags; | ^~~~~~~~ In file included from ../drivers/scsi/BusLogic.c:51: ../drivers/scsi/FlashPoint.c: In function 'FlashPoint_ProbeHostAdapter': ../drivers/scsi/FlashPoint.c:1076:11: error: 'struct sccb_mgr_info' has no member named '_sifields' 1076 | pCardInfo->si_flags = 0x0000; | ^~ ../drivers/scsi/FlashPoint.c:1079:12: error: 'struct sccb_mgr_info' has no member named '_sifields' Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20210529234857.6870-1-rdunlap@infradead.org Fixes: 391e2f25601e ("[SCSI] BusLogic: Port driver to 64-bit.") 2010-01-18[SCSI] FlashPoint: fix off by one testsDan Carpenter1-1/+1
The check on MAX_SCSI_TAR should be >= instead of > or we could go past the end of the array. Joe Eykholt aslo correctly points out that the check on MAX_LUN should be >= as well. That matches with how it is used in the rest of the file. Signed-off-by: Dan Carpenter <error27@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@suse.de>

2008-04-07[SCSI] BusLogic: make FlashPoint support x86-32 onlyMatthew Wilcox1-3/+3
We've verified that there are 64 bit and endianness problems in the flashpoint driver. Reverse the logic of CONFIG_OMIT_FLASHPOINT (make it CONFIG_SCSI_FLASHPOINT) and make it depend on X86_32 so it can't appear for any other architectures. Long term, if someone chooses, they could make FlashPoint 64 bit compliant (it looks like its a question of fixing up the sizes in some of the packed descriptors) Signed-off-by: James Bottomley <James.Bottomley@HansenPartnership.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
