2012-04-10cgroup: pass struct mem_cgroup instead of struct cgroup to socket memcgGlauber Costa1-2/+2
The only reason cgroup was used, was to be consistent with the populate() interface. Now that we're getting rid of it, not only we no longer need it, but we also *can't* call it this way. Since we will no longer rely on populate(), this will be called from create(). During create, the association between struct mem_cgroup and struct cgroup does not yet exist, since cgroup internals hasn't yet initialized its bookkeeping. This means we would not be able to draw the memcg pointer from the cgroup pointer in these functions, which is highly undesirable. 2012-02-02cgroup: remove cgroup_subsys argument from callbacksLi Zefan1-1/+1
The argument is not used at all, and it's not necessary, because a specific callback handler of course knows which subsys it belongs to. Now only ->pupulate() takes this argument, because the handlers of this callback always call cgroup_add_file()/cgroup_add_files(). So we reduce a few lines of code, though the shrinking of object size is minimal. 16 files changed, 113 insertions(+), 162 deletions(-) text data bss dec hex filename 5486240 656987 7039960 13183187 c928d3 vmlinux.o.orig 5486170 656987 7039960 13183117 c9288d vmlinux.o Signed-off-by: Li Zefan <lizf@cn.fujitsu.com> Signed-off-by: Tejun Heo <tj@kernel.org>
2011-12-12tcp buffer limitation: per-cgroup limitGlauber Costa1-0/+2
This patch uses the "tcp.limit_in_bytes" field of the kmem_cgroup to effectively control the amount of kernel memory pinned by a cgroup. This value is ignored in the root cgroup, and in all others, caps the value specified by the admin in the net namespaces' view of tcp_sysctl_mem. If namespaces are being used, the admin is allowed to set a value bigger than cgroup's maximum, the same way it is allowed to set pretty much unlimited values in a real box. 2011-12-12tcp memory pressure controlsGlauber Costa1-0/+17
This patch introduces memory pressure controls for the tcp protocol. It uses the generic socket memory pressure code introduced in earlier patches, and fills in the necessary data in cg_proto struct.
