2012-01-05ARM: restart: remove the now empty arch_reset()Russell King1-4/+0
Remove the now empty arch_reset() from all the mach/system.h includes, and remove its callsite. Remove arm_machine_restart() as this function no longer does anything useful. For samsung platforms, remove the include of mach/system-reset.h and plat/system-reset.h from their respective mach/system.h headers as these just define their arch_reset functions. As a result, the s3c2410 and plat-samsung system-reset.h files are no longer referenced, so remove these files entirely. 2011-12-28ARM: mxs: select HAVE_CLK_PREPARE for clockShawn Guo1-9/+22
This patch adds clk_prepare/clk_unprepare for mxs clock api by renaming the existing non-atomic clk_enable/clk_disable to clk_prepare/clk_unprepare and adding a pair of dummy clk_enable/clk_disable. Then with selecting HAVE_CLK_PREPARE for mxs clock, we can fix the mutex locking warning that has been reported for a few times. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>
2011-12-28ARM: mxs: convert platform code to clk_prepare/clk_unprepareShawn Guo6-14/+14

2011-11-21ARM: restart: only perform setup for restart when soft-restartingRussell King1-1/+1
We only need to set the system up for a soft-restart if we're going to be doing a soft-restart. Provide a new function (soft_restart()) which does the setup and final call for this, and make platforms use it. Eliminate the call to setup_restart() from the default handler. This means that platforms arch_reset() function is no longer called with the page tables prepared for a soft-restart, and caches will still be enabled. 2011-11-08arm/mxs: fix mmc device adding for mach-mx28evkShawn Guo1-2/+2
The merge commit "526b264 Merge branch 'imx/cleanup' into imx/devel" left a duplicated mx28_add_mxs_mmc() call, which causes the problem below during boot. kobject_add_internal failed for mxs-mmc.1 with -EEXIST, don't try to register things with the same name in the same directory. The patch removes this leftover and also change mmc0 adding to align with mmc1. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org>

2011-10-25ARM: i.MX28: shift frac value in _CLK_SET_RATEMatt Burtch1-1/+1
Noticed when setting SSP0 in clk_set_rate, _CLK_SET_RATE attempts to reset the clock divider for the SSP0 parent clock, in this case IO0FRAC. Bits 24-29 of HW_CLKCTRL_FRAC0 are cleared correctly, but when the new frac value is written the value isn't shifted up to write the correct bit-field. This results in IO0FRAC being set to 0 and CPUFRAC being corrupted. This should occur when writing IO1FRAC, EMIFRAC in HW_CLKCTRL_FRAC0 and GPMIFRAC, HSADCFRAC in HW_CLKCTRL_FRAC1. Tested on custom i.MX28 board with SSP0 SPI driver. Signed-off-by: Matt Burtch <matt@grid-net.com> Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de>

2011-09-26ARM: add an extra temp register to the low level debugging addruart macroNicolas Pitre1-1/+1
Some platforms (like OMAP not to name it) are doing rather complicated hacks just to determine the base UART address to use. Let's give their addruart macro some slack by providing an extra work register which will allow for much needed cleanups. This is basically a no-op as this commit is only adding the extra argument to the macro but no one is using it yet.
