2022-11-22regulator: lp8755: Convert to i2c's .probe_new()Uwe Kleine-König1-3/+2
The probe function doesn't make use of the i2c_device_id * parameter so it can be trivially converted. 2022-08-16i2c: Make remove callback return voidUwe Kleine-König1-3/+1
The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored. (Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the error is ignored.) So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to return 0 before. 2019-03-13regulator: lp8755: Fix notifier mutex lock warningSteve Twiss1-3/+12
The mutex for the regulator_dev must be controlled by the caller of the regulator_notifier_call_chain(), as described in the comment for that function. Failure to mutex lock and unlock surrounding the notifier call results in a kernel WARN_ON_ONCE() which will dump a backtrace for the regulator_notifier_call_chain() when that function call is first made. The mutex can be controlled using the regulator_lock/unlock() API. 2013-05-12regulator: Remove unnecessary include of linux/delay.h from regulator driversAxel Lin1-1/+0
All the drivers that need delay for the regulator voltage output voltage to stabilize after being enabled or after being set to a new value has been converted to implement enable_time and set_voltage_time_sel callbacks. Then regulator core will take care of the necessary delay. This patch removes the unneeded include of linux/delay.h in regulator drivers. 2013-01-08regulator: lp8755: Fix lp8755_regulator_init unwind codeAxel Lin1-4/+5
It's safe to pass NULL argument to regulator_unregister(), so we can remove the NULL checking before calling regulator_unregister(). However pass a ERR_PTR to regulator_unregister() is wrong, so we need to explicitly set "pchip->rdev[buck_num] = NULL" before goto err_buck.
