2016-09-12pcmcia: sa11xx_base: add units to the timing informationRussell King1-3/+3
Add units to the timing information, so we know that the numbers are nanoseconds. The output changes from: I/O : 165 (172) attribute: 300 (316) common : 300 (316) to: I/O : 165ns (172ns) attribute: 300ns (316ns) common : 300ns (316ns) Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2016-09-12pcmcia: sa11xx_base: fix reporting of timing informationRussell King1-1/+1
Fix the reporting of the currently programmed timing information. These entries have been showing zero due to the clock rate being a factor of 1000 too big. With this change, we go from: I/O : 165 (0) attribute: 300 (0) common : 300 (0) to: I/O : 165 (172) attribute: 300 (316) common : 300 (316) Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2015-09-03pcmcia: soc_common: remove skt_dev_info's clk pointerRussell King1-1/+0
We no longer need to store the clk pointer in struct skt_dev_info as we no longer need to remember the clk pointer for the cleanup paths. Reviewed-by: Robert Jarzmik <robert.jarzmik@free.fr> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2015-09-03pcmcia: sa11xx_base.c: remove useless init/exit functionsRussell King1-10/+0
A library module is not required to have module init/exit functions. Get rid of these unnecessary functions. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2015-07-08pcmcia: sa11x0: convert memory allocation to devm_* APIRussell King1-2/+1
Convert the sa11x0 socket driver memory allocation to use devm_kzalloc() to simplify the cleanup path. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2015-07-08pcmcia: sa11x0: fix missing clk_put() in sa11x0 socket driversRussell King1-2/+1
Fix the lack of clk_put() in sa11xx_base.c's error cleanup paths by converting the driver to the devm_* API. Fixes: 86d88bfca475 ("ARM: 8247/2: pcmcia: sa1100: make use of device clock") Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2014-12-05ARM: 8247/2: pcmcia: sa1100: make use of device clockDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-2/+12
Use per-device clock (instead of calling cpufreq_get(0), which can return 0 if no cpu frequency driver is selected) to program timings. Signed-off-by: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dbaryshkov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2014-03-19cpufreq: remove unused notifier: CPUFREQ_{SUSPENDCHANGE|RESUMECHANGE}Viresh Kumar1-3/+0

2012-03-28Merge tag 'split-asm_system_h-for-linus-20120328' of ↵Linus Torvalds1-1/+0
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dhowells/linux-asm_system Pull "Disintegrate and delete asm/system.h" from David Howells: "Here are a bunch of patches to disintegrate asm/system.h into a set of separate bits to relieve the problem of circular inclusion dependencies. I've built all the working defconfigs from all the arches that I can and made sure that they don't break. The reason for these patches is that I recently encountered a circular dependency problem that came about when I produced some patches to optimise get_order() by rewriting it to use ilog2(). This uses bitops - and on the SH arch asm/bitops.h drags in asm-generic/get_order.h by a circuituous route involving asm/system.h. The main difficulty seems to be asm/system.h. It holds a number of low level bits with no/few dependencies that are commonly used (eg. memory barriers) and a number of bits with more dependencies that aren't used in many places (eg. switch_to()). These patches break asm/system.h up into the following core pieces: (1) asm/barrier.h Move memory barriers here. This already done for MIPS and Alpha. (2) asm/switch_to.h Move switch_to() and related stuff here. (3) asm/exec.h Move arch_align_stack() here. Other process execution related bits could perhaps go here from asm/processor.h. (4) asm/cmpxchg.h Move xchg() and cmpxchg() here as they're full word atomic ops and frequently used by atomic_xchg() and atomic_cmpxchg(). (5) asm/bug.h Move die() and related bits. (6) asm/auxvec.h Move AT_VECTOR_SIZE_ARCH here. Other arch headers are created as needed on a per-arch basis." Fixed up some conflicts from other header file cleanups and moving code around that has happened in the meantime, so David's testing is somewhat weakened by that. We'll find out anything that got broken and fix it.. * tag 'split-asm_system_h-for-linus-20120328' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dhowells/linux-asm_system: (38 commits) Delete all instances of asm/system.h Remove all #inclusions of asm/system.h Add #includes needed to permit the removal of asm/system.h Move all declarations of free_initmem() to linux/mm.h Disintegrate asm/system.h for OpenRISC Split arch_align_stack() out from asm-generic/system.h Split the switch_to() wrapper out of asm-generic/system.h Move the asm-generic/system.h xchg() implementation to asm-generic/cmpxchg.h Create asm-generic/barrier.h Make asm-generic/cmpxchg.h #include asm-generic/cmpxchg-local.h Disintegrate asm/system.h for Xtensa Disintegrate asm/system.h for Unicore32 [based on ver #3, changed by gxt] Disintegrate asm/system.h for Tile Disintegrate asm/system.h for Sparc Disintegrate asm/system.h for SH Disintegrate asm/system.h for Score Disintegrate asm/system.h for S390 Disintegrate asm/system.h for PowerPC Disintegrate asm/system.h for PA-RISC Disintegrate asm/system.h for MN10300 ...

2010-03-30include cleanup: Update gfp.h and slab.h includes to prepare for breaking ↵Tejun Heo1-0/+1
implicit slab.h inclusion from percpu.h percpu.h is included by sched.h and module.h and thus ends up being included when building most .c files. percpu.h includes slab.h which in turn includes gfp.h making everything defined by the two files universally available and complicating inclusion dependencies. percpu.h -> slab.h dependency is about to be removed. Prepare for this change by updating users of gfp and slab facilities include those headers directly instead of assuming availability. As this conversion needs to touch large number of source files, the following script is used as the basis of conversion. http://userweb.kernel.org/~tj/misc/slabh-sweep.py The script does the followings. * Scan files for gfp and slab usages and update includes such that only the necessary includes are there. ie. if only gfp is used, gfp.h, if slab is used, slab.h. * When the script inserts a new include, it looks at the include blocks and try to put the new include such that its order conforms to its surrounding. It's put in the include block which contains core kernel includes, in the same order that the rest are ordered - alphabetical, Christmas tree, rev-Xmas-tree or at the end if there doesn't seem to be any matching order. * If the script can't find a place to put a new include (mostly because the file doesn't have fitting include block), it prints out an error message indicating which .h file needs to be added to the file. The conversion was done in the following steps. 1. The initial automatic conversion of all .c files updated slightly over 4000 files, deleting around 700 includes and adding ~480 gfp.h and ~3000 slab.h inclusions. The script emitted errors for ~400 files. 2. Each error was manually checked. Some didn't need the inclusion, some needed manual addition while adding it to implementation .h or embedding .c file was more appropriate for others. This step added inclusions to around 150 files. 3. The script was run again and the output was compared to the edits from #2 to make sure no file was left behind. 4. Several build tests were done and a couple of problems were fixed. e.g. lib/decompress_*.c used malloc/free() wrappers around slab APIs requiring slab.h to be added manually. 5. The script was run on all .h files but without automatically editing them as sprinkling gfp.h and slab.h inclusions around .h files could easily lead to inclusion dependency hell. Most gfp.h inclusion directives were ignored as stuff from gfp.h was usually wildly available and often used in preprocessor macros. Each slab.h inclusion directive was examined and added manually as necessary. 6. percpu.h was updated not to include slab.h. 7. Build test were done on the following configurations and failures were fixed. CONFIG_GCOV_KERNEL was turned off for all tests (as my distributed build env didn't work with gcov compiles) and a few more options had to be turned off depending on archs to make things build (like ipr on powerpc/64 which failed due to missing writeq). * x86 and x86_64 UP and SMP allmodconfig and a custom test config. * powerpc and powerpc64 SMP allmodconfig * sparc and sparc64 SMP allmodconfig * ia64 SMP allmodconfig * s390 SMP allmodconfig * alpha SMP allmodconfig * um on x86_64 SMP allmodconfig 8. percpu.h modifications were reverted so that it could be applied as a separate patch and serve as bisection point. Given the fact that I had only a couple of failures from tests on step 6, I'm fairly confident about the coverage of this conversion patch. If there is a breakage, it's likely to be something in one of the arch headers which should be easily discoverable easily on most builds of the specific arch. 2009-03-09[ARM] pxa: move PCMCIA definitions out of pxa-regs.h into pxa2xx_base.cEric Miao1-1/+47
Move the processor specific initialization (largely resources initialization) out of soc_common_drv_pcmcia_probe() into dedicated sa11xx_drv_pcmcia_probe() and __pxa2xx_drv_pcmcia_probe(). By doing this, we are now able to move the PCMCIA related definitions out of pxa-regs.h and back into pxa2xx_base.c. As a result, remove that reference of _PCMCIA1IO in arch/arm/mach-pxa/viper.c. 2005-04-16Linux-2.6.12-rc2Linus Torvalds1-0/+200
Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
