2015-06-12Doc: serial-rs485.txt: update RS485 driver interfaceBaruch Siach1-45/+5
Since commit a5f276f10ff7 (serial_core: Handle TIOC[GS]RS485 ioctls., 2014-11-06) serial_core handles RS485 ioctls. Drivers only need to implement the rs485_config callback. Update serial-rs485.txt to reflect these changes. Signed-off-by: Baruch Siach <baruch@tkos.co.il> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

2011-11-15RS485: fix inconsistencies in the meaning of some variablesClaudio Scordino1-3/+11
The crisv10.c and the atmel_serial.c serial drivers intepret the fields of the serial_rs485 structure in a different way. In particular, crisv10.c uses SER_RS485_RTS_AFTER_SEND and SER_RS485_RTS_ON_SEND for the voltage of the RTS pin; atmel_serial.c, instead, uses these values to know if a delay must be set before and after sending. This patch makes the usage of these variables consistent across all drivers and fixes the Documentation as well. From now on, SER_RS485_RTS_AFTER_SEND and SER_RS485_RTS_ON_SEND will be used to set the voltage of the RTS pin (as in the crisv10.c driver); the delay will be understood by looking only at the value of delay_rts_before_send and delay_rts_after_send. 2011-10-18tty/serial: RS485 bindings for device treeNicolas Ferre1-0/+5
Generic bindings for RS485 feature included in some UARTs. Those bindings have to be used withing an UART device tree node. Documentation updated to link to the bindings definition. 2011-08-24atmel_serial: RS485: receiving enabled when sending dataBernhard Roth1-0/+3
By default the atmel_serial driver in RS485 mode disables receiving data until all data in the send buffer has been sent. This flag allows to receive data even whilst sending data.
