2007-05-08savagefb: rework i2c bit accessAntonino A. Daplas1-14/+8
Use already defined VGAwCR/VGArCR functions to access the i2c bus. Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-02-14[PATCH] remove many unneeded #includes of sched.hTim Schmielau1-1/+0
After Al Viro (finally) succeeded in removing the sched.h #include in module.h recently, it makes sense again to remove other superfluous sched.h includes. There are quite a lot of files which include it but don't actually need anything defined in there. Presumably these includes were once needed for macros that used to live in sched.h, but moved to other header files in the course of cleaning it up. To ease the pain, this time I did not fiddle with any header files and only removed #includes from .c-files, which tend to cause less trouble. Compile tested against 2.6.20-rc2 and 2.6.20-rc2-mm2 (with offsets) on alpha, arm, i386, ia64, mips, powerpc, and x86_64 with allnoconfig, defconfig, allmodconfig, and allyesconfig as well as a few randconfigs on x86_64 and all configs in arch/arm/configs on arm. I also checked that no new warnings were introduced by the patch (actually, some warnings are removed that were emitted by unnecessarily included header files). 2006-12-10i2c: Discard the i2c algo del_bus wrappersJean Delvare1-1/+1
They are all only calling i2c_del_adapter, so we may as well do it directly. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>

2006-09-26i2c-algo-bit: Discard the mdelay data struct memberJean Delvare1-1/+0
i2c-algo-bit: Discard the mdelay data struct member The i2c_algo_bit_data structure has an mdelay member, which is not used by the algorithm code (the code has always been ifdef'd out.) Let's discard it to save some code and memory. 2006-01-10[PATCH] savagefb: One more I2C-enabled device in savagefbJean Delvare1-0/+1
The I2C bus of the S3 Savage2000 is supposed to work the same way the Savage4 does. At least, the legacy i2c-savage4 driver handled both devices the same way. I do not have the hardware to test this, so testers are welcome. 2005-09-15[PATCH] savagefb: Fix load failure of the Twister chipsetAntonino A. Daplas1-4/+7
- The Twister chipsets are actually prosavages. Reclassify them as such and remove the S3_SAVAGE_TWISTER id. - Fix i2c code if fb_firmware_edid() returns NULL Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@pol.net> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-09-09[PATCH] savagefb: Driver updatesAntonino A. Daplas1-4/+12

2005-09-05[PATCH] I2C: Kill i2c_algorithm.id (6/7)Jean Delvare1-2/+1
In theory, there should be no more users of I2C_ALGO_* at this point. However, it happens that several drivers were using I2C_ALGO_* for adapter ids, so we need to correct these before we can get rid of all the I2C_ALGO_* definitions. Note that this also fixes a bug in media/video/tvaudio.c: /* don't attach on saa7146 based cards, because dedicated drivers are used */ if ((adap->id & I2C_ALGO_SAA7146)) return 0; This test was plain broken, as it would succeed for many more adapters than just the saa7146: any those id would share at least one bit with the saa7146 id. We are really lucky that the few other adapters we want this driver to work with did not fulfill that condition. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
