Differences from autotools: * Autotools defined NO_ALLOCA for OSX builds. I don't think we need this anymore as Xalloc.h is no longer used anywhere in the xserver. * X11.bin is linked with -u,miDCInitialize, and then libserver_mi provided to satisfy (just) that. It's been that way since the commit which added it. We can't write the equivalent in meson due to linker argument ordering issues, but do we really need to? * An explicit -Dsecure-rpc=false is required for OSX, since in meson we don't do the checks that XTRANS_SECURE_RPC_FLAGS did for the existence of the specific RPC functions required.

Casting return to (void) was used to tell lint that you intended to ignore the return value, so it didn't warn you about it. Casting the third argument to (char *) was used as the most generic pointer type in the days before compilers supported C89 (void *) (except for a couple places it's used for byte-sized pointer math). This is strictly the application of the script 'x-indent-all.sh' from util/modular. Compared to the patch that Daniel posted in January, I've added a few indent flags: -bap -psl -T PrivatePtr -T pmWait -T _XFUNCPROTOBEGIN -T _XFUNCPROTOEND -T _X_EXPORT The typedefs were needed to make the output of sdksyms.sh match the previous output, otherwise, the code is formatted badly enough that sdksyms.sh generates incorrect output. The generated code was compared with the previous version and found to be essentially identical -- "assert" line numbers and BUILD_TIME were the only differences found.
