I quickly gave up trying to understand what exactly clashes between the Emscripten macros and OUString templates / initializers. Not sure it can actually be "fixed". Also disables the makeshared clang compilerplugin; currently there is no way to get rid of all the false positive hits when assigning the std::shared_ptr from a function instead of a constructor call. 2021-12-10Generally determine Rdb content from gb_*_set_componentfile callsStephan Bergmann1-1/+1
...instead of by listing the content somewhat redundantly in the Rdb_*.mk files, to avoid duplication of logic for components that are only built conditionally (and thus should only be included conditionally in the corresponding Rdb). To achieve that, add an "rdb" parameter to gb_ComponentTarget_ComponentTarget (and to the gb_*_set_componentfile macros that internally call gb_ComponentTarget_ComponentTarget), which is used to make the appropriate gb_Rdb_add_component call internally from within gb_ComponentTarget_ComponentTarget. (As a special case, gb_CppunitTest_set_componentfile shall not call gb_Rdb_add_component, as that has already been done by the corresponding gb_Library_set_componentfile call, so allow the gb_ComponentTarget_ComponentTarget "rdb" parameter to be empty to support that special case.) Most Rdb_*.mk files are thus mostly empty now. One exception is i18npool/Rdb_saxparser.mk, which duplicates some of the Rdb_services content as needed during the build in CustomTarget_i18npool/localedata. 1c9a40299d328c78c035ca63ccdf22c5c669a03b "gbuild: create services.rdb from built components" had already tried to do something similar (in addition to other things) under a new --enable-services-rdb-from-build option. However, that approach had four drawbacks that this approach here addresses (and which thus partly reverts 1c9a40299d328c78c035ca63ccdf22c5c669a03b): 1 Rdb_services shall not contain the component files of all libraries that are built. While that commit filtered out the component files that go into Rdb_ure/services (ure/Rdb_ure.mk), it failed to filter out the component files that go into others like Rdb_postgresql-sdbc (connectivity/Rdb_postgresql-sdbc.mk). 2 The code added by that commit to Makefile.gbuild codified the knowledge that there is an Rdb_services, which is brittle. 3 The code added by that commit to solenv/gbuild/Rdb.mk codified the knowledge (for gb_Rdb__URECOMPONENTS) that there is an Rdb_ure/services, which is brittle. 4 Introducing an --enable-services-rdb-from-build option needlessly provided two different ways how the content of Rdb_services is assembled. The changes done here would leave --enable-services-rdb-from-build as a misnomer, as it no longer controls how Rdb_services is assembled. I thus renamed it to --enable-customtarget-components, as that is apparently what it still does now. 2021-12-06gbuild: create services.rdb from built componentsJan-Marek Glogowski1-0/+1
... and introduce the --enable-services-rdb-from-build option. Currently the build handles global build options redundant in a few places: * in Repository*mk + modules - the "real" build dependencies * the full services.rdb generation * the static UNO constructor map generation Also the component files don't reflect the really built components and so the RDB services generation must handle the whole options to select the correct components. So this optionally replaces the latter two by generating the list of components and it's constructors from the build itself. As a consequence, component files must now be split, so they reflect the real components in the libraries, otherwise the static constructor list will have missing symbols. IMHO this is more natural, as it happens in the same place already handling these build options for the sourcecode. This also adds a convenience helper to add multiple component files: gb_Library_set_componentfiles This is WIP and currently just works for the stripped WASM build, which introduces many more split component files in later patches. It also explicitly filters the gb_Rdb__URECOMPONENTS and the CppunitTest related components from the services.rdb. Maybe there is a good way to do this properly. 2020-09-11Fix the minimal build-tools targetJan-Marek Glogowski1-2/+7
The revert commits change the build-tools target for a DESKTOP build to build the complete LO. This restores the original, minimal one and also adds a whitelist of allowd build types. OpenCL needs a configure switch, as it's status is also stored in a config header, so preventing the build is not enough. This also reverts: - commit 802161a505272732566210e9ebbd8fe1b23fb86d - commit 02d931a59e2966d0c2736db8dee7be3e3dcd6bae Change-Id: Ibfcb0c54e72da1b7c2e63c082ea6586520a787fa Reviewed-on: https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/102480 Tested-by: Jenkins Reviewed-by: Jan-Marek Glogowski <glogow@fbihome.de>
2019-12-16Revert "Make font-based unit test depend on instdir fonts"Jan-Marek Glogowski1-0/+13
The following build: $ make clean && make gb_CppunitTest_sc_ucalc [...] $ cd sc $ make gb_CppunitTest_sc_ucalc triggers: sc/CppunitTest_sc_subsequent_filters_test.mk:133: *** Missing font filelist -> run make more_fonts extras. This didn't help the general Win32 font build problem AFAIK. There were additional patches to the way Windows loads the LO provided fonts, so just revert this. This reverts commit 368c996b24e09c427a30972b3405493328db6779. 2019-07-05Make font-based unit test depend on instdir fontsJan-Marek Glogowski1-13/+0
The current dependency is already a hack, because there is no way I know of to depend on delivered top-level modules like more_fonts. The original patch parses the gb_Package_MODULE_ooo_fonts list of registered packages to add them as build dependencies. But this is not sufficient, as it just adds the dependencies on the installed / unpacked fonts in the workdir (actually it's just the installer filelist), where they can't be found by the unit test running in the instdir environment. So this converts the depndency into a make error, if either the filelist is missing or the included font files. But if we are in a full run and know the more_fonts module, we simply depend on its delivered files. This needs some minimal changes to gbuild, as neither the delivered file list nor the modules class names are yet available. And this moves the fontconfig handling to extras, where the opensymbol font is already handled. 2017-12-04postprocess: only check-dynamic-objects if instset is createdMichael Stahl1-0/+2
People who use --with-system-libs will derive no benefit from check-elf-dynamic-objects. Since checking all SYSTEM_* variables seems unmaintainable, check if an instset is to be created as a heuristic that the build should be portable and libraries checked. This should run with no config changes at least on the tinderboxes; Jenkins builders don't create instsets. Change-Id: I2407429891210ea79917fc4d01a933ec661325b1

2017-09-24Compensate for loss of Type 1 "Standard Symbols L" substitute for "Symbol"Stephan Bergmann1-0/+11
At least for me on Linux since LO 5.3, 'soffice sw/qa/extras/rtfexport/data/fdo72031.rtf' shows "Å" (rendered in "DejaVu Sans") instead of "⊕" (rendered in "Standard Symbols L"). That's presumably because 47ea13ef8dc8ab9aeded6121845e3ebd1d28b292 "Kill the old Unix layout engines" removed support for Type 1 fonts (see "Ignore Type 1 fonts" in FontCfgWrapper::addFontSet, vcl/unx/generic/fontmanager/fontconfig.cxx), and my (Fedora 25) /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1/s050000l.pfb "Standard Symbols L" is a Type 1 font. So we fell back to fontconfig's generic (weak) suggestion of "DejaVu Sans" as a substitute for "Symbol". So extend our fc_local.conf to suggest our "OpenSymbol" as a substitute for "Symbol". As that fc_local.conf was originally brought along by --with-fonts, which is enabled by default but can be disabled, compilation of fc_local.conf from the various snippets is moved to postprocess. macOS and Windows were never affected, as they both come with a "Symbol" font installed in the system. (And we don't install fc_local.conf on Windows at all.) the gb_Postprocess* foo could also be in gb_Module* as it is conceptionally close ('do things globally/productwide').
