2013-07-11watchdog: wm831x: use platform_{get,set}_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-2/+2
Use the wrapper functions for getting and setting the driver data using platform_device instead of using dev_{get,set}_drvdata() with &pdev->dev, so we can directly pass a struct platform_device. 2013-07-11watchdog: wm831x_wdt: use devm_gpio_request_one()Jingoo Han1-11/+6
Use devm_gpio_request_one() to make cleanup paths simpler. Also, GPIOF_DIR_OUT | GPIOF_INIT_LOW is replaced with GPIOF_OUT_INIT_LOW. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Reviewed-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@iguana.be>

CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option so __devexit is no longer needed. 2012-05-23watchdog: wm831x: Convert to gpio_request_one()Mark Brown1-10/+3
Use the more modern API. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@iguana.be>
2012-03-27watchdog: fix set_timeout operationsWim Van Sebroeck1-0/+2
Since we changed the behaviour of the set_timeout operation in the watchdog API, we need to change the allready converted drivers so that they update the timeout field at the end of the set_timeout operation. Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@iguana.be>
2012-03-27watchdog: nowayout is boolWim Van Sebroeck1-2/+2
nowayout is actually a boolean value. So make it bool for all watchdog device drivers. Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@iguana.be>
2012-01-06watchdog: Convert wm831x driver to devm_kzalloc()Mark Brown1-4/+3
Saves a small amount of code and systematically eliminates leaks. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@iguana.be>
2012-01-06watchdog: add nowayout helpers to Watchdog Timer Driver Kernel APIWim Van Sebroeck1-3/+1
Add two nowayout helpers for the Watchdog Timer Driver Kernel API. And apply this to the already converted drivers. Note: s3c2410_wdt lost the nowayout feature during the conversion. 2011-11-05watchdog: Convert wm831x driver to watchdog coreMark Brown1-213/+105
Fairly large code churn but not much doing with that and the overall result is a definite win. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@iguana.be>
2011-06-28watchdog: Handle multiple wm831x watchdogs being registeredMark Brown1-0/+5
Due to the whole single instance based watchdog API we use static data for the wm831x watchdog which means that if the system tries to register a second one we end up trying to register the same miscdevice again, corrupting the miscdevice list. Work around this by checking for duplicate registrations until we get a watchdog core. Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com> Signed-off-by: Wim Van Sebroeck <wim@iguana.be>

2009-09-18[WATCHDOG] Add support for WM831x watchdogMark Brown1-0/+441
The WM831x series of devices provide a watchdog with configurable behaviour on timer expiry. Currently this driver support refreshes via a register or GPIO line and autonomous refreshes from a hardware source (eg, a clock).
