This field is of type const, so of_device_id structures having this property can be made const too. Cross compiled the files drivers/ata/pata_macio.c and drivers/ata/pata_mpc52xx.c for powerpc architecture. The IP suffers from the same PMP issue the DA850 does - if we enable PMP but don't use it - softreset fails. Appropriate workaround was implemented in this driver as well. While the SCSI code accomodates for this by passing a read-writable buffer userspace applications don't cater for this behavior.
