2022-04-29lib/test_string.c: add strspn and strcspn testsRasmus Villemoes1-0/+33
Before refactoring strspn() and strcspn(), add some simple test cases. 2021-07-01lib/test_string.c: allow module removalMatteo Croce1-0/+5
The test_string module can't be removed because it lacks an exit hook. Since there is no reason for it to be permanent, add an empty one to allow module removal. 2019-07-16lib/test_string.c: add some testcases for strchr and strnchrPeter Rosin1-0/+77
Make sure that the trailing NUL is considered part of the string and can be found. 2019-07-16lib/test_string.c: avoid masking memset16/32/64 failuresPeter Rosin1-3/+3
If a memsetXX implementation is completely broken and fails in the first iteration, when i, j, and k are all zero, the failure is masked as zero is returned. Failing in the first iteration is perhaps the most likely failure, so this makes the tests pretty much useless. Avoid the situation by always setting a random unused bit in the result on failure. 2019-05-21treewide: Add SPDX license identifier for more missed filesThomas Gleixner1-0/+1
Add SPDX license identifiers to all files which: - Have no license information of any form - Have MODULE_LICENCE("GPL*") inside which was used in the initial scan/conversion to ignore the file These files fall under the project license, GPL v2 only. The resulting SPDX license identifier is: GPL-2.0-only Signed-off-by: Thomas Gleixner <tglx@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2017-11-17lib: add module support to string testsGeert Uytterhoeven1-0/+141
Extract the string test code into its own source file, to allow compiling it either to a loadable module, or built into the kernel.
