2023-10-27crypto: FIPS 202 SHA-3 register in hash info for IMADimitri John Ledkov1-0/+1
Register FIPS 202 SHA-3 hashes in hash info for IMA and other users. Sizes 256 and up, as 224 is too weak for any practical purposes. Signed-off-by: Dimitri John Ledkov <dimitri.ledkov@canonical.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2020-11-20crypto: sha - split sha.h into sha1.h and sha2.hEric Biggers1-1/+2
Currently <crypto/sha.h> contains declarations for both SHA-1 and SHA-2, and <crypto/sha3.h> contains declarations for SHA-3. This organization is inconsistent, but more importantly SHA-1 is no longer considered to be cryptographically secure. So to the extent possible, SHA-1 shouldn't be grouped together with any of the other SHA versions, and usage of it should be phased out. Therefore, split <crypto/sha.h> into two headers <crypto/sha1.h> and <crypto/sha2.h>, and make everyone explicitly specify whether they want the declarations for SHA-1, SHA-2, or both. This avoids making the SHA-1 declarations visible to files that don't want anything to do with SHA-1. It also prepares for potentially moving sha1.h into a new insecure/ or dangerous/ directory. 2015-12-20keys, trusted: select hash algorithm for TPM2 chipsJarkko Sakkinen1-0/+3
Added 'hash=' option for selecting the hash algorithm for add_key() syscall and documentation for it. Added entry for sm3-256 to the following tables in order to support TPM_ALG_SM3_256: * hash_algo_name * hash_digest_size Includes support for the following hash algorithms: * sha1 * sha256 * sha384 * sha512 * sm3-256 Signed-off-by: Jarkko Sakkinen <jarkko.sakkinen@linux.intel.com> Tested-by: Colin Ian King <colin.king@canonical.com> Reviewed-by: James Morris <james.l.morris@oracle.com> Reviewed-by: Mimi Zohar <zohar@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Acked-by: Peter Huewe <peterhuewe@gmx.de>
2013-10-25crypto: provide single place for hash algo informationDmitry Kasatkin1-0/+40
This patch provides a single place for information about hash algorithms, such as hash sizes and kernel driver names, which will be used by IMA and the public key code. Changelog: - Fix sparse and checkpatch warnings - Move hash algo enums to uapi for userspace signing functions.
