2014-09-09xfs: combine xfs_rtmodify_summary and xfs_rtget_summaryEric Sandeen1-0/+4
xfs_rtmodify_summary and xfs_rtget_summary are almost identical; fold them into xfs_rtmodify_summary_int(), with wrappers for each of the original calls. The _int function modifies if a delta is passed, and returns a summary pointer if *sum is passed. 2014-06-25xfs: global error sign conversionDave Chinner1-1/+1
Convert all the errors the core XFs code to negative error signs like the rest of the kernel and remove all the sign conversion we do in the interface layers. Errors for conversion (and comparison) found via searches like: $ git grep " E" fs/xfs $ git grep "return E" fs/xfs $ git grep " E[A-Z].*;$" fs/xfs Negation points found via searches like: $ git grep "= -[a-z,A-Z]" fs/xfs $ git grep "return -[a-z,A-D,F-Z]" fs/xfs $ git grep " -[a-z].*;" fs/xfs [ with some bits I missed from Brian Foster ] Signed-off-by: Dave Chinner <dchinner@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Brian Foster <bfoster@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Dave Chinner <david@fromorbit.com>
2013-10-23xfs: split xfs_rtalloc.c for userspace sanityDave Chinner1-0/+24
xfs_rtalloc.c is partially shared with userspace. Split the file up into two parts - one that is kernel private and the other which is wholly shared with userspace. Signed-off-by: Dave Chinner <dchinner@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Signed-off-by: Ben Myers <bpm@sgi.com>
2013-08-12xfs: introduce xfs_rtalloc_defs.hDave Chinner1-51/+2
There are quite a few realtime device definitions shared with userspace. Move them from xfs_rtalloc.h to xfs_rt_alloc_defs.h so we don't need to share xfs_rtalloc.h with userspace anymore. 2010-05-28xfs: be more explicit if RT mount fails due to configEric Sandeen1-1/+10
Recent testers were slightly confused that a realtime mount failed due to missing CONFIG_XFS_RT; we can make that a little more obvious. 2009-02-04xfs: make sure to free the real-time inodes in the mount error pathChristoph Hellwig1-0/+4
When mount fails after allocating the real-time inodes we currently leak them. Add a new helper to free the real-time inodes which can be used by both the mount and unmount path. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Reviewed-by: Felix Blyakher <felixb@sgi.com>
2008-02-07[XFS] optimize XFS_IS_REALTIME_INODE w/o realtime configEric Sandeen1-2/+0
Use XFS_IS_REALTIME_INODE in more places, and #define it to 0 if CONFIG_XFS_RT is off. This should be safe because mount checks in xfs_rtmount_init: so if we get mounted w/o CONFIG_XFS_RT, no realtime inodes should be encountered after that. Defining XFS_IS_REALTIME_INODE to 0 saves a bit of stack space, presumeably gcc can optimize around the various "if (0)" type checks: xfs_alloc_file_space -8 xfs_bmap_adjacent -16 xfs_bmapi -8 xfs_bmap_rtalloc -16 xfs_bunmapi -28 xfs_free_file_space -64 xfs_imap +8 <-- ? hmm. xfs_iomap_write_direct -12 xfs_qm_dqusage_adjust -4 xfs_qm_vop_chown_reserve -4 SGI-PV: 971186 SGI-Modid: xfs-linux-melb:xfs-kern:30014a Signed-off-by: Eric Sandeen <sandeen@sandeen.net> Signed-off-by: David Chinner <dgc@sgi.com> Signed-off-by: Lachlan McIlroy <lachlan@sgi.com>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
