2016-05-09mfd: wl1273-core: Use devm_mfd_add_devices() for mfd_device registrationLaxman Dewangan1-12/+2
Use devm_mfd_add_devices() for MFD devices registration and get rid of .remove callback to remove MFD child-devices. This is done by managed device framework. Signed-off-by: Laxman Dewangan <ldewangan@nvidia.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>

2013-07-31mfd: Use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han1-1/+1
Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org>

2012-09-15mfd: core: Push irqdomain mapping out into devicesMark Brown1-1/+1
Currently the MFD core supports remapping MFD cell interrupts using an irqdomain but only if the MFD is being instantiated using device tree and only if the device tree bindings use the pattern of registering IPs in the device tree with compatible properties. This will be actively harmful for drivers which support non-DT platforms and use this pattern for their DT bindings as it will mean that the core will silently change remapping behaviour and it is also limiting for drivers which don't do DT with this particular pattern. There is also a potential fragility if there are interrupts not associated with MFD cells and all the cells are omitted from the device tree for some reason. Instead change the code to take an IRQ domain as an optional argument, allowing drivers to take the decision about the parent domain for their interrupts. The one current user of this feature is ab8500-core, it has the domain lookup pushed out into the driver. 2011-10-31mfd: Add module.h to the implicit drivers/mfd usersPaul Gortmaker1-0/+1
With the pending module.h cleanup, these files will fail to compile, unless they explicitly call out the include of this file. [omap-usb-host addition courtesy of Anand Gadiyar <gadiyar@ti.com>] Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>

2011-05-26mfd: Use mfd cell platform_data for wl1273 cells platform bitsSamuel Ortiz1-2/+4
With the addition of a platform device mfd_cell pointer, MFD drivers can go back to passing platform data back to their sub drivers. This allows for an mfd_cell->mfd_data removal and thus keep the sub drivers MFD agnostic. This is mostly needed for non MFD aware sub drivers. 2011-03-23mfd: Rename platform_data field of mfd_cell to mfd_dataAndres Salomon1-2/+2
Rename the platform_data variable to imply a distinction between common platform_data driver usage (typically accessed via pdev->dev.platform_data) and the way MFD passes data down to clients (using a wrapper named mfd_get_data). All clients have already been changed to use the wrapper function, so this can be a quick single-commit change that only touches things in drivers/mfd. 2011-03-23mfd: mfd_cell is now implicitly available to wl1273 driversAndres Salomon1-2/+0

2011-03-23mfd: Remove obsolete cleanup for wl1273 clientdataWolfram Sang1-2/+0
A few new i2c-drivers came into the kernel which clear the clientdata-pointer on exit or error. This is obsolete meanwhile, the core will do it. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <w.sang@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>

This is the core of the WL1273 FM radio driver, it connects the two child modules. The two child drivers are drivers/media/radio/radio-wl1273.c and sound/soc/codecs/wl1273.c. The radio-wl1273 driver implements the V4L2 interface and communicates with the device. The ALSA codec offers digital audio, without it only analog audio is available. Signed-off-by: Matti J.
