2007-07-10[MAC80211]: Set low initial rate in rc80211_simpleLarry Finger1-5/+7
The initial rate for STA's using rc80211_simple is set to the last rate in the rate table. For situations for which the signal is weak, the rate may be too high for authentication and association. Although the rc80211_simple module will adjust the speed, the response may not be fast enough for a successful connection. This modification sets the initial rate to the lowest supported value. 2007-07-10[MAC80211]: Add support for SIOCGIWRATE ioctlLarry Finger1-1/+24
At present, transmission rate information for mac80211 is available only if verbose debugging is turned on, and then only in the logs. This patch implements the SIOCGIWRATE ioctl, which adds the current transmission rate to the output of iwconfig. Signed-off-by: Larry Finger <Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: John W. 2007-06-11[PATCH] mac80211: Don't stop tx queue on master device while scanning.Mattias Nissler1-0/+12
mac80211 stops the tx queues during scans. This is wrong with respect to the master deivce tx queue, since stopping it prevents any probes from being sent during the scan. Instead, they accumulate in the queue and are only sent after the scan is finished, which is obviously wrong. Signed-off-by: Mattias Nissler <mattias.nissler@gmx.de> Signed-off-by: John W. We forget to free all the fragments when defraging them into one packet. Signed-off-by: Hong Liu <hong.liu@intel.com> Signed-off-by: John W. Linville <linville@tuxdriver.com>
2007-05-29[PATCH] mac80211: fail back to use associate from reassociateZhu Yi1-0/+2
Some APs have strict checking between associate and reassociate. In a case when an AP is restarted during a connection, it denies the mac80211 reassoc request since this is a new association for the AP. To fix this problem, we need to check the status code against WLAN_STATUS_REASSOC_NO_ASSOC and clear ifsta->prev_bssid_set in handling the association failure response.
