2016-01-07mtd: nand: make use of nand_set/get_controller_data() helpersBoris BREZILLON2-9/+9
New helpers have been added to avoid directly accessing chip->field. Use them where appropriate. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> [Brian: fixed a few rebase conflicts] Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-12-18mtd: nand: remove useless mtd->priv = chip assignmentsBoris BREZILLON1-1/+0
mtd_to_nand() now uses the container_of() approach to transform an mtd_info pointer into a nand_chip one. Drop useless mtd->priv assignments from NAND controller drivers. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-12-18mtd: nand: bcm47xx: use the mtd instance embedded in struct nand_chipBoris BREZILLON3-6/+7
struct nand_chip now embeds an mtd device. Make use of this mtd instance. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-12-14mtd: bcm47xxnflash: really unregister NAND on device removalBrian Norris1-3/+4
The field bcma_nflash::mtd is never set to be non-zero anywhere, but we test for it in the removal path. So the MTD is never unregistered. Also, we should use nand_release(), not mtd_device_unregister(). Finally, we don't need to use the 'platdata' for stashing/retrieving our *driver* data -- that's what *_{get,set}_drvdata() are for. So, kill off bcm_nflash::mtd, and stash the struct bcm47xxnflash in drvdata instead. Also move the forward declaration of mtd_info up a bit, since struct bcma_sflash should be using it. Caught while inspecting other changes being made to this driver. Compile tested only. 2015-12-08mtd: nand: make use of mtd_to_nand() in NAND driversBoris BREZILLON1-8/+8
mtd_to_nand() was recently introduced to avoid direct accesses to the mtd->priv field. Update all NAND drivers to use it. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-10-13mtd: nand: bcm47xxnflash: show parent device in sysfsFrans Klaver1-1/+1
Fix a bug where parent device symlinks aren't shown in sysfs. While at it, make use of the default owner value set by mtdcore. Signed-off-by: Frans Klaver <fransklaver@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2014-10-20mtd: nand: bcm47xxnflash: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang1-1/+0
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>

2013-02-04mtd: bcm47xxnflash: register this as normal driverHauke Mehrtens1-5/+2
When platform_driver_probe() is used and no device is registered for this driver -ENODEV is returned and and error message is shown. Not all BCM47xx SoC have a nand flash chip controller and chip and for them an error message was shown. 2013-01-03Drivers: mtd: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-2/+2
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.
